I live in Oklahoma, where religious zealots have now created a new law (being challenged) that requires all teachers in the state to teach religious classes during normal school hours. I’m glad my children are grown but I worry about my grandchildren.

Those fucking AA meetings were torturous until I discovered the Athiest meeting - until I finally quit it altogether and let my suffering go. Then things got clear for me.

I was raised catholic, but my parents also sent me to regular school where I like...you know... learned stuff. At 13 I had enough. I told my mom I wasn't going to church on Christmas Eve because I don't believe there is a god. It was rough. She cried. But I never turned back.

I'm as certain that there is no god as you are certain that the Earth is round and not flat. It's just not up for debate.

I read, today, that a stegosaurus skeleton showed signs of arthritis, which meant it was old when it died. Millions of years of evolution over hundreds of species later, and I also have arthritis. If there’s a god, do they need a bit more time to get that right? Seems a lot.

Buddhists simply don't worry about whether or not a white - haired white - bearded guy exists. If I understand. The existence of a supreme being is sort of a non - sequitur if I understand. God could be The Cheese Who Standeth Alone.

The world was perfect until humankind ruined it.

It is Man's avaricious greed that has ruined everything.

There is no limit to the lengths of cruelty than humans will go, to divest others of their wealth, then enslave them. Still going on to this day, very often in the name of God or Allah!
