Oliver, this is a part of my Reply to a post by Friendly Atheist on Substack, a while ago: "This entire incident is a symptom of the spectacularly successful con that 'religion' has perpetrated on this country and on the world, for centuries. This HUGE grift has resulted in terror, genocide, exploitation of the masses in multiple ways, brainwashing, and half-witted knee-jerk responses such as this to anything and everything deemed insufficiently subservient to religious authority."

I think this explains evangelists and their movement.

Sometimes this is called “general malaise”. Blaming other people is never helpful.

Oliver the more I read you the more my own thoughts become clear, more precise. The way you stack the key images, juxtaposed with text and real life examples keeps my interest to the end. Love your comics & dialogue. I read a comment recently that AI does not (maybe cannot?) create art, that it will always need a human prompt?

Thank you so much for the nice feedback, Aocm! You just made my day! :)

I wrote an article about AI art. Not sure if you saw it yet:

Bad news: Robots and AI will make your job obsolete sooner than you think. Good news: It will make Universal Basic Income inevitable.

Ppl may not realize how long AI has been around. I started tech writing in the late 80's and by the 90's we had autogenerated electronic technical manuals. Legal has been using it at least as long. Has it taken this long to recognize human art, as opposed to repetitive texts etc.

This is how I feel.

I agree with "faith," which enables you to open a business, get married, go to college, save a stranger in a fire, or jump out of a trench in a major battle and defeat the enemy.

But "religion" seems to be about rabbis who sell body parts, Protestant pastors who run real estate developments disguised as churches, priests who molest children, televangelists who grift for money to buy private jets and pay off hookers and secretaries, imams who tell their flock to commit suicide bombings, Mormon elders who are homophobic and racist, and Buddhist monks who say everything is as it should be.

“Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.”

I respect people's choices to not believe in God but I, for myself, would certainly not listen to Marx.
